Twenty 17........... a slow start.

I managed to complete a rod before the long break in January 2017.
This rod is to replace a broken rod of the same owner. Yup, a broken solid carbon fiber rod....

Anyway, this is newly built rod is slightly heavier in terms of line weight.. 15-30lb and 7' in length.

Another simple built with a ergonomic reel seat. AT Aero rubberized reel seat.

Fitted with a short EVA rear grip.

BLACKHOLE CAPECOD Special - 300th POST... 2016

I guess this 'hole' made it after all... 

It's another BH CapeCod Special "Slow Pitch" blank and this blank does not need any more introduction. It has been known for its' robust action and have been tested in many waters around the world.

This is a very standard built. Basically, guides , trigger reel seat and fighting butt. Anyone could have done this.

7'4" Fiberglass Spinning Travellers Rod

I had this 3 section 4/5wt fiberglass blank for sometime now and not wanting to build a fly rod with it. A bit too slow for bait casting but it was just nice for a ultra light spinning rod. It would be around 3-8lbs line.

I found an old Fuji NPS spinning reel seat when I was digging through my rod building component box. Not the most favorite reel seat used here. I think they used this often for ice fishing rod.

Selected a bunch of components , some from Matagi and I had the handle assembled. Tried to make it as interesting as possible.

Used a line up of Fuji K-guides for this spinning rod.

The PINK lite jigging PANTHER

This light jigging rod built from CRB blank 14-18lb. A very forgiving blank with mod-fast action which I think it suits for light jigging.

Started this a few months back but it was shelved due to short of guides. Just completed lately after a long wait for the Fuji K-guides.

The rod looks kind of plain and I just have to add abit of weaving to it.
I seldom do weaving but this time is exceptional.

MATAGI fiberglass UL

Building another MATAGI fiberglass XUL blank. 6' 2-4lb noodle action with lots of fun hooking up palm size fish.

No cork component this time round. Just simple skeleton reel seat and a EVA butt piece. I used an aluminium insert for the reel seat.
