The condition of the rod is not really that bad. Existing wrapping to guides are loose and giving way, stripping guides wrapping was redo with a different color thread and the cork grip was about to come off.
The butt cap was removed to clear the loose particles in the rod.
All the guides was stripped including the cork grip and cleaned thoroughly.
Choosing the shades of brown.
Sample wrapping ala Vintage style. Pending epoxy.
Wrapping to snake guides done and a thin layer of epoxy applied.
The cork grip was reinstall and a coat of cork sealant was applied.
Later a final epoxy is applied.
Done and it look great...
