The WanXcamo Rod

Another simple built for this light power CRB Xcamo blank.

It goes very well with this camo reel seat from American Tackle.

Handle setup with cork foregrip and split handle.

Spiral guide placement with white Pearsall Gosammer's silk thread for transparent wrapping effect which I simply called it as the "super glued" wrapping.

After epoxy.

A close up shot on the guides. The silk thread will be transparent after come into contact with the epoxy and it looks as if the guides foot are glued and coated with epoxy. That is why I called it "super glued" wrapping.

I am using Thread Master epoxy and so far it has not disappointed me.

Rod decal taken before coating with epoxy.

The other side of the rod decal.

A coating of U40 Cork Seal for the finishing touch.

Lamiglas EXCEL 12-25lb

This is another LAMIGLAS EXCEL that I have completed yesterday. This might resembled the 1st Lamiglas EXCEL that was built in January this year at a glance, but if you look closely it is very different.

The blank is 6'6" in length and rated at 12-25lb. This blank have been discontinued last year.

These parts was earlier suggested.

..and this was finally adopted and used.

LAMIGLAS the honeybrown fly rod.

This is one of the best fiberglass fly blank from Lamiglas that I have came across. Of course, that is my personal opinion, perhaps some of you might not agreed with me.

You will agree with me if you have cast this crispy sweet lil'rod before.

Made in USA.

Extra grade cork rings for the grip.

The blank with double sliding band burled wood reel seat.

Cork rings stacked, glued and lathed to form this cigar cork grip.

Started with the feather inlay.

Completed feather inlay with rod decal.

Epoxy coated the feather inlay.

Chrome light wire snake guides with agate stripping guide.

Old school wrapping design to agate stripping guide and the rest of the snake guides.

Epoxy job. The thread looks slightly reddish due lighting effect.

Over view of the completed rod.
