The last of LAMI EXCEL blank ( 8-20lb 7' ) Baitcasting Rod

I had 3 of these blanks for the past 2 years and this built is the last piece of the Lamiglas Excel blanks in stock.

LGC-XL844G 7'0" , 8-20lb Lure wt. 1/4- 5/8oz. 

Reel seat setting.

Fuji ACS custom painted gloss black and KDPS black hood.

Handle setup.

SEA-GUIDE Titanium SiC guides. This set of guides is less than 3 grams, all 11 pieces.

Black and metallic copper thread wrapping.

Spiral guide placement.. and the last guide is always off centered.

Lamiglas decal. 

Decal after epoxy.

This blank doesn't come with the blank detail decal. Guessed this is the best that I can do.

JCM LamiExcel ALPS "JBC" Rod

Another Lamiglas Excel blank being built. 8-20lb and 7' in length.
Putting in a rubberised ALPS reel seat and American Tackle Typhoon guides to this rod.

 

 

 

 

Foregrip yet to be lathe.

 



I am not sure whether the call this a bait casting rod or a jigging rod. This built was intended for bait casting but with a slightly longer handle for ease of manoeuvre on a kayak.

The rear grip are flatten on both sides for the comfort snuggling at the arm pit.

Lamiglas EXCEL 12-25lb

This is another LAMIGLAS EXCEL that I have completed yesterday. This might resembled the 1st Lamiglas EXCEL that was built in January this year at a glance, but if you look closely it is very different.

The blank is 6'6" in length and rated at 12-25lb. This blank have been discontinued last year.


These parts was earlier suggested.

 

..and this was finally adopted and used.

LAMIGLAS the honeybrown fly rod.

This is one of the best fiberglass fly blank from Lamiglas that I have came across. Of course, that is my personal opinion, perhaps some of you might not agreed with me. 

You will agree with me if you have cast this crispy sweet lil'rod before.

Started with the feather inlay.

Epoxy coated the feather inlay.

Epoxy job. The thread looks slightly reddish due lighting effect.
